Old Shillelagh
Address: 349 Monroe Street
Phone: 313-964-0007

Description:

"Cead mile failte" reads the stained-glass sign in the center of the Old Shillelagh pub. It means “10,000 welcomes" in Gaelic. The building has been a bar since it was built in the late 1800s. Reminiscent of an earlier era, the walls and ceilings of the pub are fashioned from decorative scalloped tin.
Located in Greektown, the friendly and authentically Irish pub draws a diverse crowd of patrons. On any night of the week, you"ll find people here enjoying a pint, singing traditional Irish drinking songs and playing a round of darts. Guinness, of course, is on tap plus an ample selection of imported and domestic beverages.
