Music Hall Center for the Performing Arts has been a Detroit cultural jewel for more than 70 years. Music Hall stands at the gateway of downtown Detroit"s entertainment district as the last remaining legitimate stage theatre in the area. Founded in 1928 as The Wilson Theatre, Music Hall remains true to its mission of presenting high quality programming to a variety of audiences while preserving and maintaining a nationally recognized historic building and remaining a financially viable institution.

For nearly three-quarters of this century, Music Hall has provided metropolitan Detroit residents with diverse artistic and educational performing arts opportunities. Following the completion of an extensive six-year, $6.5 million renovation and restoration in 1995, both loyal and new audiences can appreciate the theatre"s impressive design and craftsmanship. By the very nature of its 1701-seat facility, excellent sight lines and superb acoustics, Music Hall has earned its reputation as a truly wonderful venue to see intimate theatre and dance productions.
